Welcome 2017 with an affordable planner set up

Welcome to our first post of 2017! Less than 2 weeks until we officially launch, it's such an exciting time but also very stressful. The best way to stay on top is PLANNING!!

There is a whole world out there of planning lovers and we happen to be one of them. Management planning is a step towards achievements and successes, personally or professional.

Here for you, we set up a super AFFORDABLE business planner but don't worry, after the festive spending period, this won't break the bank.

Planners can cost a lot of money especially

if you love big brand such as Filofax.

I personally have 2 Filofaxes and a Paperchase one,

in personal size because I love the ring binder system.

You can swap planners everytime you want, change papers, customise, create your own inserts...

It's a very versatile yet efficient system that works for me.

I used my personal size planner for both, personal and business matter

until i came across this very simple

black A5 planner in Tiger for £4.

The price really sold it for me. Inside the planner, there are only lined paper so it was a great opportunity to start a Business Planner,

set it up and customise it the way I wanted.

Creating my inserts

What makes the ring binder system so efficient

are the inserts used to separate each section.

I created 7 for now but in 6 months time I may only need 4. You need to find a system that works for you

and the way to do it is try different inserts.

I used A5 craft paper that I have put inside plastic document instead of laminating it. That way I can use the pocket for scraps, notes etc

For each insert, I wrote an inspirational quote

Bringing my planner to life

This is the best part for me. I won't really decorate it as much as  this planner will be for my business so I kept it very simple.

  • A dashboard
  • A calendar 2017
  • Page marker
  • A tassel that I made
  • A week at a glance page created on Words
  • A monthly page section created on Words

At the back of my planner, I added another pocket to store page clips, post it note, page flags...

I'm really happy with how it turned out. It's very practical yet still very pretty for me. I also like to use project life cards to write down my goals and inspirations.

I created a week at a glance page as well as a month one on words but if you are really creative you could design it all like in a bullet journal. I use the paper the planner came with for my daily planning using the bujo system.

If you have a planning system that works for you, please share it with us

Happy Planning and Happy 2017!!
