My 5 steps to a healthy active lifestyle

"Don't wish for it...

This is the mantra to keep in mind at all time!!

Christmas is over and

although I love to indulge myself too,

I want to feel good about myself more!

This is my 5 steps to a healthier active lifestyle that will help you get back on track if you ever lost it or get on it!

1*Find your motivation

If you have something you are working towards, you will most likely stick to it. Is it a summer holidays on the beach, a special anniversary, do you want to impress at a friends wedding... whatever the motivation, once you find it: work for it! To avoid a relapse, find a new motivation!

 

2*Eat well and drink more water

No secrets here. If you want to feel better about yourself, if you want to get your dream 6 pack, you won't get it by stuffing yourself with cakes. Eat more raw foods and get your 8 glasses of water a day.

 

3*Exercise daily

No excuses here. Everyone has time for a 10 mins workout everyday. Youtube and instagram are loaded with quick challenges and easy workout to get you back on it. Once you find your routine, increase your work out session: maybe start a yoga challenge or get a workout dvd.

 

4*Set realistic and achievable goals 

I won't eat chocolate for a week rather than I want to lose 5kgs in 2 weeks. You will slowly find yourself at the junction where your goals have become long terms.

 

5*Get planning!! After all "if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail"

Planning is key to help you keep focused whether it is your meal plans or workout routine. If something doesn't fit anymore, readjust your plan.

 

Starting a healthier lifestyle is easier than you think but most importantly you will "feel" it.
