How to layer skincare

STEP 1

Cleansing oil

Cleansing oil should be applied onto dry skin first.

Pump the cleansing oil into hand then massage it using an upward circular motion all over the face. Emulsify with water and massage it a bit longer. Rinse with lukewarm water.

How much product: 1 pump should be enough, roughly the size of a pound coin.

STEP2

Foam Cleanser

Apply the cleanser onto wet hands then gently rub between hands to create a foam and massage it onto face in an upward circular motion. Rinse off with lukewarm water

How much product: a pea size amount is enough

STEP 3

Toner

Pour the toner into hands and pat it into the skin or use a cotton pad or gauze to apply the toner in an upward motion.

How much product: roughly a coin size amount

STEP 4 (optional but recommended to use 2 to 3 times a week)

Sheet mask

Refer to our post on how to sheet mask

STEP 5

Essence/ Serum/ Ampoule

These are mainly the same only difference is the texture. Essence is a bit lighter in consistence and has less active ingredients than a serum or ampoule.

Put into hand and rub hands to warm the product then gently massage into skin.

How much product: 1 drop in the morning, 2 drops in the evening

STEP 6

Eye cream

Gently dab the eye cream all around your eye area (brow bone and underneath eye) with your ring finger.

Why the ring finger: because this finger will apply the right amount of pressure into your delicate eye area.

How much product: a pea size amount for each eye

STEP 7

Moisturizer

Dab and pat your moisturizing cream in an outwards motion. Don't rub the product too hard and let the product sink in.

How much product: a penny size amount

STEP 8

Spf in the morning

Facial oil/ Sleeping mask in the evening
